STROKE ATTACK :
A stroke may be caused by a blocked artery (ischemic stroke) or the leaking or bursting of a blood vessel (hemorrhagic stroke). Some people may experience only a temporary disruption of blood flow to the brain (transient ischemic attack, or TIA) that doesn't cause permanent damage.
5 Warning Signs of Stroke
• Sudden numbness or weakness in the face, arm or leg (especially on one side of the body).
• Sudden confusion or trouble speaking or understanding speech.
• Sudden vision problems in one or both eyes.
• Sudden difficulty walking or dizziness, loss of balance or problems with coordination.
• Severe headache with no known cause.

Stroke symptoms typically last more than 24 hours, and may or may not resolve, even with therapy. Some stroke symptoms may never resolve or get better. TIA symptoms last for a short time. Symptoms can begin to resolve in about one to five minutes, which is typical, but some may take about 24 hours to resolve.
Unfortunately, there is no cure for stroke. Getting tPA (tissue plasminogen activator) treatment as rapidly as possible in the appropriate setting can minimize the permanent brain damage from strokes.
